Welcome,

We are a tiny 25 seat neighbourhood restaurant tucked away in the back streets of Hobart. We celebrate seasonal and locally sourced produce and minimal intervention wines from small producers. We are committed to not serving Tasmanian farmed Salmon or Ocean Trout on our menu.

Bookings are made online and open 30 days in advance

Please note that Templo does not currently offer gift vouchers.

Dine with us

We are open Friday - Sunday for an a la carte lunch service between 12pm -2pm and Wednesday - Sunday for dinner from 5pm.

Templo offers a weekly changing menu, focusing on locally sourced, seasonal produce. Dinner reservations on Friday and Saturday nights are on a set menu for $100pp

Reservations are highly recommended. However, we are happy to take walk ins from 5pm when the space is available at our Pasta Bar.

Our booking system accepts bookings of a minimum of 2 guests, if you are looking to dine solo, please add your name to our waitlist so that we can add you in from there.

If you can't find an available table, please feel free to email us with your request and we will do our best to accommodate.

Please be aware that we are a very small space and although we'd love to, we cannot accommodate you if you arrive early for your reservation.

• Maximum group size we can accept is 6 people
• We have mixed seating, the majority of our seating is on stools. You may be seated at a communal table with other diners or at the bar.
• Bookings are only accepted up to 30 days in advance
• We are fully licensed and also offer BYO corkage at $30 per bottle
• Children are welcome during dinner service but please note that we do not offer a specific children's menu for dinner.

Dietary requirements

We require notice of any dietary requirements or allergies when you make your booking as we cannot guarantee that we can cater for last-minute dietary requirements. Any pop-up dietaries may incur a fee. Please note that the combination of vegan & gluten free, the combination of dairy free & gluten free, low FODMAP or fructose intolerance may not be able to be catered for, please contact us if you have these dietaries before proceeding.

Securing Your Booking

A credit card Booking Guarentee of $100 pp is required to finalise your booking. Funds will be verified, but not charged to your card at this time.

Cancellation Policy

We are a small restaurant where table space is limited. We love to share our food with a full and vibrant room. Cancellations and no-shows often result in other diners missing out.

If you need to modify or cancel your reservation please contact us via the link in your booking confirmation at least 24 hours prior to your booking. If you do not notify us within 24 hours and we cannot fill your spot you will incur a $100/person fee on your credit card.
